Aurora baseball team wins another regular season game

The Aurora High Greenmen varsity baseball team (20-5) won another regular season game Tuesday, beating Notre Dame Cathedral Latin 12-5 in Chardon.

The big innings for Aurora were the fifth (4 runs) and seventh (6 runs). Tate Larrance was the winning picher and received relief from Dominic Tyburski.

The Greenmen pounded out 15 hits. Jacob Blue had 3 and Jonathan Blue, Will Hermanowski and Jacob Loudon each had 2. Joe Caputo drove in 4 runs and Brent Henderson and Loudon each drove in 2.

The Greenmen will take on Mentor on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Canton's Thurman Munson Stadium in the Division I regional semifinals. Walsh Jesuit will battle Massillon Jackson in the second game.
