Aurora High baseball team wins 3 games, softball squad wins one

The Aurora HIgh varsity baseball team picked up three more wins Friday and Saturday to improve its record to 12-1. The squad is on a nine-game winning streak.

Pitchers Zach Elsawy and Dominic Tyburski combined for a no-hitter in a 7-0 win over Westlake in the first game of a doubleheader, whle Tate Larrance and Will Carpenter combined for a one-hitter in the 6-0 nightcap win.

Will Hermanowski had 2 hits and Jacob Blue had 2 RBI in the first game, while Bubba Arslanian and Joe Capretta each had 3 hitsand Arslanian had 4 RBI in the second game.

Trevor Mitch was the winning pitcher in a 5-3 Suburban League American Confernce win over Medina Highland on Friday. Chase Coady pitched the final 4 innings. Evan Fromwiller and Capretta each had 2 hits and Brent Henderson had 2 RBI in that game.

Meanwhile, the Greenmen varsity softball team beat Streetsboro 11-0 on Saturday. No other details were available.

The baseball team will host University School on Monday in non-league action.
