The Aurora HIgh varsity baseball played its first game at home on Wednesday and beat Barberton 10-5 to improve its record to 4-1. All of the wins have come in Suburban League American Conference action.
Trevor Mitch started the game on the mound, but Dominic Tiburski earned the win after pitching two innings in relief. Aurora tallied 4 runs in the third inning, but the Magics came back with 4 in the fourth to take a 5-4 lead. The Greenmen then added 5 runs in the fifth and closed out with one in the sixth.
Will Hermanowski and Ben Stawicki each had 2 hits for the Greenmen. Overall, the winners pounded out 11 hits. Brent Henderson had 2 RBI.
The Greenmen are scheduled to play at Revere today (April 13).
