SENIORS ACTIVITIES

Aurora Seniors meet weekdays in the Walker Building.

Among activities are: Gentle yoga Fridays at 10 a.m., Arthritis Foundation exercise Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:30 p.m., bingo Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m., chair volleyball Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. and Thursdays at 1:45 p.m.

Also, there are watercolor painting Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m., knitting Thursdays at 1 p.m. and penny poker, canasta and euchre Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m.; walking videos Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9 a.m., beginning Tai Chi on Thursdays at 9 a.m. and mahjong lessons Wednesdays at 1 p.m.

Some other activities are blood pressure and glucose screening clinics the first Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m.

Tech Tuesdays are offered from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Walker Building, when students from Harmon School and AHS will help seniors perform various tasks with laptops, digital cameras, e-readers, tablets and phones.

Free income tax assistance is available through the AARP Tax-Aide program. For details, call 330-297-4636. Lunch and bingo will be March 31 at the Avenue at Aurora. The Retired Old Men Eating Out group will visit Station 43 in Bainbridge on April 20.

A salad recipe exchange will be April 3 at noon, an Indians home opener party will be April 11 at 3:30 p.m. at the Atrium at Anna Maria, lunch and learn will be April 17 at noon and breakfast and bingo will be April 24 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Heartland of Twinsburg.

Trips coming up are: March 30 -- "Jesus Christ Superstar" at Weathervane Playhouse; March 31 -- Severance Hall for Handel's Royal Fireworks Music; April 5 -- Cleveland Museum of Natural History; April 10 -- lunch bunch to Bahama Breeze; April 12 -- Jack Casino in Cleveland; April 13 -- "Rocktopia" at the State Theater.

April 19 -- Butler Museum of American Art and Youngstown Center of Industry and Labor; April 21 -- Severance Hall for "Don Quixote"; April 26 -- Palace Theater for "Something Rotten"; April 27 -- Packard Music Hall for "The Inspiration of Broadway"; May 3-4 -- overnight trip to Seneca Allegheny; May 9 -- Hanna Theater for "Forever Plaid."

The parks-rec department is in the Walker Building on West Pioneer Trail. Hours are weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
