Aurora HIgh girls beat Willoughby South, boys lose two games

Aurora High's varsity girls basketball squad topped Willoughby South 47-37 in a non-league game Saturday.

The Greenmen improved to 15-5 overall and will play at Chardon on Monday and host Tallmadge on Wednesday. The latter game will determine the Suburban League American Conference champion.

Against Willoughby south, Syarra Sellers led the way with 13 points, Korie Hobbs had 11 and Shyala Sellers added 8.

Meanwhile, the Greenmen boys lost 66-54 to Revere iand Barberton 55-50 in American Conference contests to fall to 2-8 in the conference and 6-17 overall.

Against Revere, Gavin Blunt tallied 21 points, Cade Huffman had 12 and Zach Elsawy had 9. Against the Magics, Huffman had 19 points, Blunt 17 and Elsawy 10.
