The Aurora boys soccer team improved to 11-3-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the Suburban League American Conference after defeating Tallmadge 2-0 Oct. 11 at Veterans Stadium.

The Greenmen got on the board a little more than two minutes into the game. Sophomore Dan French received a pass from his twin brother Mike French and finished to make it 1-0 in favor of Aurora. French got the ball in the Blue Devils' penalty box off a long throw-in.

The Greenmen got their other goal with 2:24 remaining in the first half.

This time, sophomore Josh Famageltto scored from the left side just outside of Tallmadge's penalty box.

Aurora controlled possession much of the way and had a couple of shots hit the crossbar.

The Greenmen outshot the Blue Devils (7-6-2, 1-4-1) 15-1 and had a 9-0 edge in corner kicks.

Tallmadge senior goalkeeper Tommy Kilway made 13 saves in the nets. Aurora senior goalie Joey Brockway made one save.
