It’s almost time for the 38th annual Mantua Potato Stomp.This year’s race will be Sept. 10.
The Potato Stomp covers ground in Mantua Village and along the Cuyahoga River — a total of 9 miles — with seven aid stations, prizes, colorful mile markers, food at the finish line and friendly spectators.
This year offers a 1-mile fun run ($13 admission, free to Crestwood students), a 4-mile run ($17), a 4-mile team challenge with cross country scoring ($17 per person), and the 9-miler ($20).

The 1-miler starts at 8:30 a.m. Both the 9- and 4-mile races start at 9 a.m.
Shirts are guaranteed for the first 150 registered.
Race day registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. at Crestwood High School on Route 44. Preregistered mail-in forms and paymenst must be received by Sept. 8.
