Aurora baseball team loses; tracksters 3rd and 4th in local invitational

Aurora High School's varsity baseball team dropped to 7-3 overall with a 7-2 loss to Canton Central Cathoilic on Thursday.

Adam Long was the losing pitcher for the Greenmen. Ben Stawicki had a double and an RBI.

The Greenmen are scheduled to travel to Hartville Lake on Saturday for a non-league doubleheader. The squad is 1-1 in the Chagrin Valley Conference so far this season.

Meanwhile, the Aurora High boys track team placed third and the girls were fourth in the Aurora Invitiational on Thursday. Chagrin Falls won the boys meet and Crestwood won the girls meet out of the eight teams that competed.
