On a 70-degree and sunny day Saturday, the Aurora Greenmen varsity baseball team split a doubleheader with non-league foe Solon, losing the first game 5-3 and winning the second 3-0.

A.J. Kimes was the losing pitcher in the first game and Luke Calcei was the winner in the second game.

The Greenmen are now 6-2 overall and 1-1 in the Chagrin Valley Conference. In last wek's action, they split two games against CVC opponent Orange.

Meanwhile, the Aurora High boys track team placed sixth and the girls were fifth out of eighth teams in the Kenston Relays on Friday afternoon.
