Aurora girls close regular season with win over WRA; icers out of postseason play


Aurora High School's varsity girls basketball team closed out its regular season with a 5-17 record after a 55-25 victory on Wednesday over Western Reserve Academy of Hudson.

April Davis led the way with 12 points, followed by Korie Hobbs with 10. Several other players scored between one and 6 points.

The Greenmen will face top-seeded Solon on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Division I sectional tournament.

Meanwhile, the Aurora ice hockey team ended its season with a 1-19 record after a 10-0 loss to Hudson in the Kent district tournament.
