The Aurora Greenmen varsity football squad improved its record to 3-0 Thursday night with a 35-2 non-league victory over Revere.
The game was shortened to one half, when lightning was spotted in the distance to the north over Lake Erie. Because of the wide margin at that point, the teams agreed to end the game and not reschedule the second half.
The Greenmen scored five touchdowns in the first half and were leading 21-0 at the end of the first quarter. Revere scored its only points on a safety early in the second quarter when a snap went over the Aurora punter's head and out of the endzone.
Aurora kicks off its Chagrin Valley Conference schedule on Sept. 20 at home against Chagrin Falls. Aurora and Chagrin Falls shared last year's CVC Chagrin Division crown.
