Aurora girls win pair, lose CVC game

As the 2012-13 regular season winds down, Aurora’s varsity girls baskrtball team won a pair of non-league contests last week, but lost to Chagrin Valley Conference Chagrin Division opponent Kenston.

The girls (13-7 overall and 5-5 in the CVC) beat Copley 55-43 and Independence 50-31, but lost to the Bombers 42-31.

Against Copley, Camilla Brown had 23 points and Allison Howard 14. Against Independence, Howard had 16 and Brown 12. Against Kenston, Howard le the way with 18.

The girls travel to Laurel tonight (Feb. 13) and then play a sectional tournament game Feb. 21 against either Austintown Fitch or Boardman at Akron Ellet.
