Aurora wrestlers 4th in CVC tourney; girls, boys hoopsters lose; swimmers win

Aurora High's varsity wrestling team finished fourth out of 17 teams in the Chagrin Valley Conference tournament.

The Greenmen didn't have any first or second place finishers. Andrew Peterson, Brian Evans, Micky Carrasco and Josh Burger all finished third.

Meanwhile, in girls basketball action the Greenmen varsity (11-6 overall) fell 46-38 to league-leading Kenston, as Allison Howard canned 19 points and Camilla Brown had 12.

In boys basketball, Aurora fell to 1-16 with a 60-51 loss to Painesville Harvey. No scoring figures were provided.

Earlier last week, the AHS swimmers closed the regular season as the boys and girls both defeated West Geauga.

No information was available on weekend ice hockey action.
