Girls hoopsters win, boys lose, swimmers in CVC meet

Aurora High School's varsity girls basketball team snapped a four-game losing streak Friday night with a 54-42 Chagrin Valley Conference Chagrin Division victory over Perry. The Greenmen are 4-3 in the CVC and 9-4 overall. No individual scoring figures were available from the game.

Meanwhile, the varsity boys team fell to 1-12 with a 73-55 non-league loss to Solon on Saturday. Ben Branscom led the way with 17 points, while Drew Daff had 13.

Aurora's boys swimming team finished sixth out of 12 teams and the girls placed seventh out of 12 in the Chagrin Valley Conference meet on Saturday.
