Kent — A source confirmed with the Record-Courier late Dec. 17 that Kent State University and Paul Haynes had agreed in principal to a contract that would make the former Arkansas defensive coordinator the new football head coach of the Golden Flashes.

A 2:30 p.m. press conference on the second floor of the student center is scheduled for Dec. 18 to formally announce and introduce Haynes.
