Aurora football is headed back to the Division II state final four.

A big night from junior quarterback George Bollas led the Greenmen to a 34-14 win over Chardon Nov. 16 in the Division II, Region 5 regional final game at Twinsburg Tiger Stadium.

Bollas had 250 yards and four touchdowns rushing, along with going 6-of-8 for 76 yards through the air.

Aurora outrushed Chardon 352-253, despite the Hilltoppers operating from a run-heavy wing-T offense.

The Greenmen (12-1) will play Toledo Central Catholic Nov. 23 in Division I state semifinal game. The site of game will be announced Sunday. Toledo Central Catholic defeated Avon 42-14 Nov. 16.

Chardon cut the lead to 13-7 at halftime and briefly took a 14-13 lead midway through third quarter.

However, Aurora closed out the contest with 21 unanswered points.

First, Bollas answered with the touchdown with a 55-yard touchdown with 4:35 left in the third quarter. The two-point conversion attempt failed.

Then, Bollas broke loose again for a 38-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter. Kirk Janoch then ran in a reverse to make the two-point conversion to make it 27-14.

Aurora iced the game with 4:36 left in game. On a fourth-and-one play, running back Jake McVay swept right and ran in a 24-yard touchdown, making it 34-14.
