AURORA STUDY CLUB

The club will begin its 2014-15 meetings Sept. 17, and there are many interesting programs scheduled this year.

The club will meet on the third Wednesday of each month, except December, at 1 p.m. at the Church In Aurora. All programs are followed by a social hour and refreshments.

Membership forms and checks and dues of $20 should be sent to Barb Trueman, 215 Shawnee Trail, Aurora 44202. Dues also can be paid at the Sept. 17 meeting.

HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Aurora Historical Society will have a dinner meeting Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. in the library's gallery. Dinner will be handled by Eisele Catering of Mantua.

Dinner entree selections are beef tips in burgundy sauce or herb baked chicken. They will include au gratin potatoes and seasoned green beans, salad, dessert and beverages.

Total cost for those attending is $18. Reservations are due by Sept. 15 and should be made with Ray Jobin.

Historical society members and the community as a whole are reminded that the antiques appraisal fair consignment shop and cafe will be Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

The nerxt Auroura Chamber of Commerce networking luncheon will be Sept. 17 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at ThornCreek Winery & Gardens on Treat Road.

Prepaid reservations are required by Sept. 15 at $20 per member and guest and $30 for non-members. A $5 late fee will be applied to any reservations made after Sept. 15 if seats are available.
