CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Attorney Alex Gertsburg of the Gertsburg law firm will be the speaker at the Aurora Chamber of Commerce’s May 14 networking luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at the Aurora Events Center (formerly Aurora Golf Club clubhouse).
His topic will be “How to Save a Ton of Money on Legal Fees.”
The amount an attorney gets paid has a lot to do with how prepared a client is and if he or she is willing to work with the attorney, or if the attorney does all the work. Gertsburg will explain simple things a client can do to help save money.
Gertsburg has been in private practice for over a decade. The first half of his career was spent working for two regional law firms — Roetzel & Andress and Calfee, Halter & Griswold. In 2003, he was called up with the 762nd Transportation Co., an Army Reserve unit, to serve in Iraq.
He deployed for a year, serving as a platoon leader and convoy commander before demobilizing from active duty in 2004 and returning to the practice of law. By that time, he had trained for and served as an officer in the Army Reserve for ten years.
Gertsburg is EVP, general counsel and corporate secretary for Broadvox Inc., an international next-generation telecom company located in Cleveland. He also is the founder and president of the Gertsburg law firm in Chagrin Falls.
Cost of the luncheon — $20 for members and $30 for non-members — must be prepaid by May 9 at 2 p.m. A $5 late fee will be charged after that time if seats are available.
