RESIDENTS ON CRUISE

Aurora residents Dick and Sue Mansell, Jim and Carol Fenger, Carolyn Steffens and Elaine Shively boarded the Norwegian Star in Miami, Fla. for a memorable 14-day cruise to Columbia, Panama, Costa Rica and Mexico.

Land excursions included Cartagena, Puntarenas, Puerto Chiapos, Huatulco, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas. They then continued to Los Angeles before returning home.

In Los Angeles, the Mansells split from the others and flew to Honolulu, Hawaii for a lively week at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa, visiting Pearl Harbor, Diamon Head and East and North Shore with relatives in Oahu.

Highlights of the cruise included dinner at Cagney's Steak House, plus great entertainment, including songs from "The Jersey Boys", trapeze acrobatics of the Elements and Broadway Belter and Jeri Seger.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS

The Mantua Knights of Columbus will host Lenten dinners every Friday from March 7 to April 11 at the hall on Route 44 north of Route 82. Times are 5 to 8 p.m., with serving ending at 7:30.

Pierogis, baked fish, beer battered cod and breaded shrimp will be available, with all dinners including two hot vegetables, coleslaw or applesauce, rolls and butter, beverage and dessert.

Takeouts are available after 4:30 p.m. by calling 330-274-2576. Prices are $12 for adults, $11 for senior citizens and $6 for age 12 and under for pierogies/fish sticks or pierogies / shrimp. Macaroni and cheese are available as a substitute for children's side dish.

TWINSBURG GARDENERS

The Twinsburg Garden Club will feature Stark County Master Gardener Rudy Moyer at its March 13 meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Twinsburg Community Cener on Ravenna Road. ROTARY, KIWANIS CLUBS

The Rotary Club of Aurora meets Wednesdays at 7:30 a.m. at the Bertram Inn, while the Aurora Kiwanis Club meets the first and third Mondays of the month at 6 p.m. at the same place.
