Three bluegrass bands will perform in Shalersville

Shalersville Town Hall at Routes 303 and 44 will host three bluegrass bands Nov. 19 from 7 to 11 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. Featured will be Coney Carver and the Rainbow Valley Boys, Ottawa County Bluegrass and Caney Creek. Refreshments such as sandwiches and desserts will be available.

In recognition of Veterans Day, the Akron Zoo will be offering free admission to all military personnel and veterans through Nov.11. Veterans or people currently serving in the military will have to show a military ID to receive the discount.
