Inmate gifts eyed Aurora Mennonite Church's missions committee is supporting the Way Out Christmas gift bags for inmates program again this year. Fliers are on the table in foyer showing the specific items needed. Items should be taken to the church by Dec. 8.
Order poinsettias Poinsettia orders are being taken at the Church in Aurora for the Christmas season until Nov. 21. Order forms were in the Nov. 13 bulletin and will be on the chapel tables Nov. 20.

UM luncheon set A luncheon for women at Aurora United Methodist Church will take place Nov. 6 at Station 43. Tuesday morning women meet each week at 10 a.m. The praise team gathers Wednesdays at 7 p.m. to prepare for Sunday services, and UM 201 meets Thursdays at 7 p.m.
Chili cookoff set The Church in Aurora annual chili cookoff potluck will be Nov. 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Participants will taste the entries and vote on their favorite. Everyone is welcome to take their favorite chili or dessert. The committee will provide toppings.
Fall fest set at BaptistFirst Baptist Church of Aurora's fall festival will be Oct. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m.. It is open to the community and My First School preschool families. Help is needed with food and games, and candy can be placed in the box in the foyer.
Book fair aids schoolFirst Baptist Church members can support My First School preschool by purchasing books at the Oct. 24-28 book fair. Each purchase earns credits for the school.The church's annual fall festival will be Oct. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m.
