Egg hunt at UMC
Aurora United Methodist Church will host an Easter egg hunt April 9 at 1 p.
m. for children age 12 and under. (rain or shine).
A potluck meal will follow worship that day. Festivities will include games, crafts and candy.
Egg hunt planned
First Baptist Church’s Easter egg-stravaganza will be April 8 at 10 a.
m. for children through third grade. Candy donations are still needed to fill 1,200 eggs to be hidden in the family center.
Nut-free candy donations can be placed in the box in the foyer.
Online orders are due for the Malley’s candy fundraiser by April 10.

Club 306 will have a movie night April 9 at 6 p.
m. for students in grades 3 to 6. The movie is “Zootopia.
” A question and answer discussion will follow and popcorn will be provided.

A baby dedication seminar will be April 29 from 9 to 11 a.
m. for those interested in dedicating themselves as parents of a baby or child.
The basics of Christian parenting from a Biblical perspective will be discussed.

m. at Aurora Mennonite Church. Elva Hurst, a nationally known chalk artist and author, will be speaker.

Play/ worship set
Two sessions of Play-n-Worship are coming up at the Church in Aurora.
One for ages 4 and 5 will run from April 4 to May 2 on Tuesdays at 0 a.
m. and one for ages 2 and 3 will run from April 6 to May 4 on Thursdays at 10:30 a.
Each lesson uses objects from preschoolers’ everyday world, and includes play, stories and songs.

The Women’s Guild will meet April 12, with lunch provided by Twiinz Catering and a program by Ruth Pangrace, who will portray Florence Harding.

Forty-nine young people completed their initiation into the Catholic Church recently at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, as Bishop George V.
Murry conferred the Sacrament of Confirmation.
A baptismal preparation session will be April 2 at 12:30 p.
m. for expectant or new parents anticipating a baptism.
Attending such a session is required. Call the parish office to register.
A First Communion / Jesus Day retreat will be April 8 from 9 a.
m. to 1 p.m. The final family program session will be April 9 after the 11 a.
m. Mass. All books must be completed and turned in to the religious education office by April 23.
Soup suppers continue on Wednesdays in Lent at 6:15 p.
m. Stations of the Cross are observed at 6 p.
m. Wednesdays and noon and 7 p.m. Fridays.
Piecemakers will meet April 11 from 10 a.
