LETTER: Recommends seeing 'Diaryof Anne Frank' at the ACT

Published:

My husband and I

attended a performance of "The Diary of Anne Frank at Aurora Community Theatre, which I felt was so powerfully and reverently presented that I feel compelled to advise residents in town and in surrounding areas to see it.

I'd highly recommend it for kids in sixth grade or older to see as well. I remember seeing a production of this play when I was about that age and the impact it had on me, and that rendition did not hold a candle to the current one at ACT.

I've had the good fortune to have visited "The Secret Annex" in Amsterdam twice. The true story behind Anne Frank's diary bears telling again and again.

This current production is a fine example of good theater....and it is right here in Aurora for a few more weeks.
