Anne Bogden, 98 years of age, passed away Thursday February 16, 2017 at University Hospital-Geauga Medical Center in Clairdon Township, Ohio.
Born in Peresple, Poland on May 17, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Antonia (Sarafin) Holuta. A resident of Aurora the past 62 years, Mrs. Bogden grew up in Cleveland where she worked at both Northern Haserot Food and then at Tid-Bit Products. She enjoyed gardening and attending to her flowers at the family residence, canning and cooking. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were truly important to her, and they will forever have cherished memories of their loving grandmother. Mrs. Bogden was a longtime member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Aurora.
On October 19, 1940, she married her beloved husband, Walter J. Bogden who preceded her in death on April 5, 2000. Also preceding was her devoted daughter Janet Darrow, and dear sister Helen Silvers. She is survived by her devoted daughter and son-in-law Carol (Carl) Schneider of Auburn Township, Ohio; loving grandchildren Laura Georgevich, Michael Schneider, Marc Darrow and Kimberly Camp, and cherished great-grandchildren Samuel Georgevich, Zachary Georgevich, Oscar Schneider, Axel Schneider, Ethan Darrow, Jordan Darrow, Cameron Jackson, Abigail Camp, Isabella Camp, Jonathan Camp and Charlotte Camp.
Calling hours will be Monday February 20, 2017 from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St.Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday February 21, 2017, 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 342 South Chillicothe Road, Aurora, Ohio 44202 (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH). Mrs. Bogden will then be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Walter at Westlawn Cemetery, Mantua, Township, Ohio. In lieu of flowers,memorials are suggested to the Troy Twp.
