Wife of area minister
Services were Feb. 15 at Green Family Funeral Home in Mantua for Marcene M. Angle, 81, who died Feb. 11, 2014 in Twinsburg.
She was born May 17, 1932, in Charleston, W.Va., the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Jessie (McIntosh) Belcher. She had been a resident of the Aurora area the past 54 years and was retired from General Electric in Twinsburg, where she was a quality inspector.
Mrs. Angle was an active member of the Country Baptist Church in Mentor, serving alongside her husband, Pastor James D. Angle, as he ministered for 38 years there.
She was a Bible study teacher and sang with the Heaven Bound Trio of the church. On Oct. 6, 1952, she married Pastor Angle, who survives at their home.
Other survivors include her daughter Trish (Bob) Kuchta of Bainbridge Township, siblings Garry (Ruth) Belcher of Wilmington, Del., Clyde (Loretta) Belcher and Cora Lea (Don) Nutter of Quinwood, W.Va., and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were brothers Roger and Romie Belcher and sisters Freida Salisbury and Ruth Hizer.
