Services were June 24 at Green Family Funeral Home in Mantua for Brent E. Turnbaugh Sr., 65, of Freedom Township, who died June 19, 2013, at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna.
Born in Altoona, Pa. on Sept. 27, 1947, he was the son of Clair E. and Audrey M. (Price) Turnbaugh. A longtime Portage County resident, he formerly resided in Windham, moving to Freedom Township within the past three years.
He had been employed at M&L Trucking Co. as a long distance truck driver for 31 years, and enjoyed fishing and using the family RV to go camping. On Jan. 31, 1976, he married Lorena (Stiles) Turnbaugh, who survives at their home.
Other survivors include his children Brent (Joy) Turnbaugh, Jr. of Windham and Heather (Mike) Shuman of Warren; his mother Audrey Turnbaugh of Aurora; sister Sherry (Jeff) Sada of Kirtland; and grandchildren Taylor, Justin, Nathan and Hunter.
He was preceded in death by his father Clair E. Turnbaugh and brother Clair R. Turnbaugh.
