Roger V. Gochneaur, 70, of Stow, a former Aurora resident, died Feb. 19.

Born July 31, 1942 to the late Alice M. and Vernon G. Gochneaur in Warren, he was a graduate of Kirtland High School in 1960 and attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.

In 1963, he moved to Aurora, where he was employed by the family-owned business Fashion Two Twenty Cosmetics, and in 1968 at age 26 became the youngest president of a major corporation in the nation.

He was an active member of the Direct Selling Association, and was a member of Roller Skating Rinks of America. In 1981, his son Russ was crowned national champion of Junior American Dance. He and his second wife Nancy Ogden West were founders of SafeNet Secuirity in Cuyahoga Falls.

He also was preceded in death by his first wife Patricia (Culp), sister Candace Gochneaur and grandson Devlin.

Survivors include his second wife; son Russ (Denice) of Ankey, Iowa; grandsons Ryan and Austin who excelled at soccer at Michigan State and Western Illinois University, respectively; sister Sandra (Terry) Grandee of Aurora; brother Gregg (Deidra) of Dallas; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Gochneaur enjoyed horseback riding and scuba diving, and spent his 70th birthday scuba diving on the island of Bonaire.
