A funeral Mass will be celebrated Feb. 1 at 10 a.m. at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Auburn, Ill., for Esther Jeanne Celmer, 91, of Adair, Okla, who died Jan. 23, 2013 at Clarehouse Hospice in Tulsa, Okla.
Born June 5, 1921, in Auburn, Ill., she was the daughter of Horace and Barbara Pelletier, and married Charles Celmer in 1939. He preceded her in death in May 2002.
Formerly of Aurora and Auburn, Ill., she was a homemaker and seamstress who specialized in making wedding dresses. She was active for many years with the Auburn 4-H Club and was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church before leaving Auburn.
Survivors include her son Ken (Diane) Celmer of Salisbury, N.H.; daughters Patricia (Lynn) Hartweger of Bushnell, Ill., Gail Celmer of Cresham, Ore. and Jeanne (Mark) Reeds of Adair, Okla,; sister Georgiana Brazil of West Palm Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Jan. 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bramley Funeral Home in Auburn, Ill. Burial will be in Virden Cemetery.
