BETTY M. PALMER

Raised many foster children

Services took place Dec. 8 at the First Congregational Church of Twinsburg for Betty Marie (Maijala) Palmer, 92, of Aurora, who died Dec. 5, 2012.

She was a member of the Geauga County Fair and for many years, and along with her husband had taken in more than 30 foster children since the late 1960s.

Survivors include her children, the Rev. Dr. Kay (Richard) Marsh of Long Mont, Colo, Karen (Blaire) Kotkowski of Mantua and Sonia (David) Frankhouser of Buffalo, N.Y.; and grandchildren Alexa Larson, Madeline Marsh and Hailey and Abby Frankhouser.

She was preceded in death by her husband James W. Palmer and siblings Viola, Reuben, Karl, John and William.

Burial was in Crown Hill Memorial Park in Twinsburg. Arrangements were handled by Johnson-Romito Funeral Home in Twinsburg.
