The Oak Clinic, a nonprofit organization dedicated to individuals living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), will hold its annual fundraiser, "A night of Laughter with Anita Renfroe" on Wednesday, October 8, at the Akron Civic Theatre.
The concert will feature Anita Renfroe, a popular comedian, musician, author and speaker well known for her William Tell version of "Everything a Mom Says in a 24 hour Period," also known as "The Mom Song." "I'd rather people laugh because they relate to something I say than because I wrote a clever punch line," Renfroe says. "All my stuff is about my life, it's real and it connects to people, and that's a wonderful thing."
Renfroe has been a regular comedian on ABC's "Good Morning America." In addition to "Good Morning America," Renfroe has shared her comedic act on "Dr. Phil," CBS's "The Early Show," Fox News Channel's "Fox & Friends," XM Satellite Radio Network's "Oprah & Friends," and "Inside Edition."
This event begins at 7 pm and is open to the public. Tickets are $26 and can be purchased through the Civic Theatre and all Ticketmaster outlets. Proceeds of the event will go to the Oak Clinic for Multiple Sclerosis. For more information, please contact Tricia Jones at (330) 896-9625.
The Oak Clinic is a nonprofit outpatient facility that treats individuals living with MS regardless of their ability to pay. A team of professionals provide medical care, carry out psychosocial needs assessments and provide educational and supportive services to their clients and their families
