Aurora -- At its April 28 meeting, the Board of Education favored a 15-year, 100 percent tax abatement for Rotek Inc.
The company has proposed expanding its facilities on South Chillicothe Road, and the city has offered it the tax abatement. Another option for Rotek is moving to its existing plant in Florence, Ky.
Rotek is located in the city's Community Reinvestment Area 1, thus making it eligible for a real estate tax abatement.
In other matters, the School Board accepted the resignation for retirement purposes of Craddock School head custodian Terrance A. Rudge, who has had 31 years of service in the district.
The Board also accepted resignations of the following certificated tutors in the non-public auxiliary service program: Karen Anderson, Amy Byler, Kathleen Havener, Diane Kelvington, Holly Rankin, Judith Seiple and Barbara Sullivan.
