Second-grade concerts coming up

April 23, 2008

The following items are reprinted from the News from Miller and Craddock Schools newsletter.

Second-grade concerts at Craddock School will take place as follows:

April 28 at 7 p.m. -- Adkins, Leko, Moticak and Simenc classes; April 29 at 7 p.m. -- Cantelmi, Estis, Hillyer, Makowski and McBenttes classes.

School officials remind students and parents to keep in mind the Abitibi recycle bins at Craddock. This year, the school has recycled 2.5 tons of paper and saved 17 cubic yards of landfill.

The bins accept newspapers, magazines, junk mail and old binders. Leah Gongola and her staff and students initiated the project.

Guidance counselor Tami Mazzella was honored as counselor of the year at the annual Kent State University guidance honorary banquet.

The following students were "caught being good" at Miller School: Jacob Burke, Krista Guerini, Makayla Teichow, Anna Brown and Megan Lyangh.

April 24 is Take a Child to Work Day. Pickup of flowers orders in the PTO's annual flower sale is Ma 9 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Aurora Farms Premium Outlets behind Malley's Candies.

Thanks go to first-grade movie night chairs Michelle Craig and Kelli DeMicco and their committee, Mazzella for coordinating the Relay For Life concession stand and raffle at the movie night, Ellie Milano's parents for donating videos to Miller and the Solon Mustard Seed Market for seedlings.

Other coming events are: April 24 -- Miller-Craddock parents communication forum at 10 a.m. at Craddock; April 25 -- Miller spring concert during the day and second-grade movie night at Craddock; and May 7 -- PTO Market Day pickup.
