Robinson Hospital still

Level III trauma center

Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna maintained its status a Level III trauma center after a site visit from the American College of Surgeons in December.

Level III re-verification indicates that certain personnel and systems are in place to provide optimum emergency care for patients with life-threatening injuries.

"RMH is committed to maintaining a Level III trauma center to expedite care for patients who have trauma," said Chief Nursing Officer Deb Small.

"Physicians and staff at Level III centers coordinator care delivery and facilitate patient transfers when necessary."

If RMH was not a designated trauma center, many patients in car crashes and other accidents would have to travel to hospitals further away.
