Marcia Snavely, musical director and well known area pianist has been sidelined with a broken hand. Snavely is the musical director for the Irving Berlin musical "I Love a Piano" scheduled to open at Actors' Summit on March 19, with a sold-out preview performance on March 18. "Marcia was out jogging while on vacation in Florida and took a fall," said Neil Thackaberry, director of the musical. "She came back with a sore hand, but she continued to play for rehearsals from Feb. 25 through March 10." A visit to the Cleveland Clinic determined that there was a broken bone and a cast was placed on her right hand, Thackaberry said. "The challenge is to find someone of Marcia's caliber to step in on such short notice" said Thackaberry. "'I Love a Piano' has the largest pre-sale of tickets in the theater's history." Evie Morris, who has served as musical director for a number of shows at Actors' Summit and who was scheduled to play in the band for the show will take over at piano. Snavely will continue to serve as musical director. Ticket and show information The play will run Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2 through April 11 at the theater in downtown Hudson.
