The horses that were once part of a carousel at the former Geauga Lake amusement park are expected to be refurbished and sold to another Cedar Fair park, according to Robin Innes, director of public relations for Cedar Fair LP.

The carousel was enclosed after the park shut down, and the horses are now in a storage facility at the property, where they'll be more protected and secure, he said.

Innes didn't know when the horses would be refurbished, how much it will cost, or to which park the carousel will be relocated. He said once the carousel has been relocated, an announcement will be made.

Some Geauga Lake enthusiasts reported seeing the horses being moved from the carousel's original site last month.
