NORBERT GORNY

Former Aurora resident

Services were May 9 at Green Funeral Home in Mantua for Norbert "Skip" Gorny, 79, of Hiram, who died May 6.

Born March 27, 1930, in Erie, Pa., he was the son of Stanley and Helen Gorny and graduated from Cathedral Prep and Gannon University, then served in the U.S. Navy.

He lived in Willoughby for 13 years, Aurora for 17 years and Hiram for 24 years.

He was a certified public accountant for Ernst and Ernst, Book United and Rick Case Honda and retired from Crusader Office Products.

He enjoyed many hobbies, including gardening, reading, traveling, motorcycles and fishing. During his retirement, he operated a Christmas tree free. He also was an active member of the Aurora Seniors.

Survivors include his daughters Judy (Bill) Schuhle of Hinckley, Kathy (Dave) Grumney of Medina and Nancy (Dave) Brehm of Powell; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores, in 1998.

Internment was in Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township.
