PartsSource captures

second straight award

PartsSource in Aurora has won its second straight Leading Edge award for Northern Ohio from the Entrepreneurs EDGE.

The Leading Edge award measures, tracks and recognizes companies that are creating the most value for themselves, as well as for the community.

"Winning the Leading Edge award in back to back years demonstrates that PartsSource continues to innovate as we grow," said President-CEO A. Ray Dalton.

"We believe for us to continue a run of success, we'll need to continue to re-invent the company to meet changing market conditions."

PartsSource is a national leader in supplying replacement repair parts for hospital equipment.

Real estate head touts

Real estate conditions in Northeast Ohio continue to be better than in other parts of the nation, according to Howard "Hoddy" Hanna III, chairman and CEO of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services.

"Price adjustments in this region have been less dramatic than elsewhere," he said. "In fact, many of the communities in Northeast Ohio have seen favorable price increases."

He also said his company's volume has recorded solid monthly gains since December 2007. Howard Hanna Smythe Cramer's total monthly volume for April increased by 29.5 percent over volume for March.

Hanna is quick to point out that the favorable comparison of real estate conditions in this region reinforces Howard Hanna's belief in Northeast Ohio's long-term economic viability and growth.

Allstate agent honored

Bethany Snyder, an Aurora Allstate Insurance agent, has been recognized for high standards in customer satisfaction, retention and profitability.

She earned Allstate's Honor Ring and will attend the regional champions event. For nearly 60 years, the Honor Ring has been Allstate's symbol of outstanding achievement.

"It's a tremendous honor to earn Honor Ring," said Snyder. "My commitment is to serve customers and I'm pleased the company has acknowledged my efforts."
