A rose courtesy of the Advocate and Aurora's Florist Country Owl goes this week to Liz Laubscher of Anna Maria of Aurora's dining services. She was nominated by Orchard Avenue residents Ann and Slim Ellis. "The weekend of the big snowstorm (March 7-9), Liz came over with a shovel and cleaned out our driveway all by herself," wrote the Ellises. "We were grateful for her to remove that much snow by herself. She is always willing to help in any way possible, whether it's the residents at Anna Maria or anyone in general who may need assistance. "Thank you again, Liz, your help was very much appreciated and very considerate." Persons who good deeds for individuals, groups or the community as a whole are rewarded with roses. Nominators should jot down a few sentences describing the kind act, and be sure to include their name and the address of the recipients. Up to three people can be nominated at one time, and each person name will receive a rose. Any more than three names will be considered a joint nomination and only one rose will be delivered. Recipients must live or work in Aurora. Roses cannot be delivered without addresses. Information can be sent to 1619 Commerce Drive, Stow 44202, faxed to 330-688-1588 or e-mailed to klahmers@recordpub.com. The Advocate no longer has a dropbox at Aurora Library. Comments
