ALLALEE DAY Supporter of the arts Services were April 11 at the Church in Aurora for AllaLee (Robinson) Day, 77, of Aurora, who died April 7 at Southpointe Hospital in Warrensville Heights. She attended Ashland College and was active in the PTA and Band Boosters when she lived in Bedford. She moved to Aurora in 1981 and was a member of the Church in Aurora and Aurora Garden Club. She enjoyed working with flowers, music and drama, and was a supporter of the arts. Survivors include her husband Myron Day; daughter Laurel J. (Leo) LaPorte of Lansing, Mich.; son Jeffrey Myron (Mary) Day of Northglenn, Colo.; five grandchildren; sister Ruth Ellen Weston of Mount Morris, Mich.; and brothers Bruce (Judy) Robinson of Youngstown and Graden Robinson of Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her parents Loyd and Ruth (Mears) Robinson. Arrangements were handled by Johnson Romito Funeral Home in Bedford. Interment was in Aurora Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Day Family Fund at the Cleveland Foundation. JOHN J. CREED Was Bedford firefighter A graveside service was to take place today (April 16) in Aurora Cemetery for John J. Creed, 70, of Aurora, who died April 8 with his family by his side. Born May 17, 1937 in Kansas City, Mo., he was the son of Joseph and Wilma (Cook) Creed. He served in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne Division. He lived in Aurora for more than 30 years and was a retired captain in the Bedford Fire Department, where he served for 32 years. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Elise (Gabaric) Creed of Aurora; son Carl of Macedonia; daughters Karen (Bryan) Coates of Amherst and Kathy (Wesley Willis) Creed of Rootstown; two grandsons; his mother of Pawnee Rock, Kan.; sister Mary Jo Creed of Leavenworth, Kan.; and brothers Curtis (Oneita) of Wichita, Kan., Frank (Judy) of Euless, Texas, and Doyle of Pawnee Rock, Kan. He was preceded in death by his father. The Rev. Gregory Hogan officiated at the funeral service. Shorts Funeral Home in Streetsboro handled arrangements. Comments
