Morning session set

A business before hours networking opportunity for Aurora Chamber of Commerce members will be April 23 at Harry and David in Aurora Farms Premium Outlets.

The event will run from 8 to 10 a.m., and will include a complimentary breakfast featuring Wolferman's English muffins and spreads and peanut butters.

A free coffee mug from Aurora Manor will be given to participants.

Diamond awards given

Two local businesses received Four- or Five-Diamond awards April 15 at an hors d'oeuvres reception at Inn Walden.

The latter lodging facility, along with the Leopard Restaurant at the Bertram Inn were honored.

AAA East Central's Four- and Five-Diamond awards represent the best the hospitality industry has to offer.

Starbucks aids VFW

The Starbucks coffee shop in Twinsburg recently began helping out a veterans group.

According to Joe Jasany, Twinsburg police officer and commander of Twinsburg VFW 4929, about 50 members of the VFW take part in a monthly bingo night with other veterans at the Brecksville VA hospital.

The VFW approached Starbucks with the request to provide coffee for the event each month, and the coffee shop agreed.
