Aurora -- A vehicle reported stolen March 27 from a Page Road location was recovered March 31 in a river in Newton Township in Trumbull County.

Police said the 1999 Mazda owner reported it was stolen while left in a parking lot, and it was located by the Trumbull County sheriff's department.

The owner of the vehical didn't give an estimated value of the car. The case is still listed as open, but a police department spokesman said in such cases it is nearly impossible to find who was responsible.

Meanwhile, no charges were filed immediately after police investigated a report of two children left alone in a vehicle parked at Aurora Farms Premium Outlets.

The incident occurred March 28. Officers discovered the mother of the children was shopping and had left the children in the car because they were sleeping.

Police received a call from a person advising them of the children. As the officer waited in the parking lot, the mother -- a Streetsboro resident -- returned to the car.

She was advised of the danger of her actions and that the matter would be turned over to the prosecutor's office for review.

As of the morning of April 7, no charges had been filed. One child was 3 years old and the other had turned 1 year old four days earlier.
