Owned spaghetti house

Services were March 19 at Fellowship Bible Church in Bainbridge for Reginald "Reggie" Brooks, 70, of Chester Township, who died March 13 at the Cleveland Clinic.

Born Oct. 28, 1937, in Rocky Mount, N.C., he lived in Cleveland prior to moving to Chesterland in 1960. A graduate of Collinwood High School in 1956, he enjoyed traveling and golf, and once played a round with Arnold Palmer.

He was a licensed pilot and enjoyed trips to his beach house in North Carolina with his family.

He was a bank teller at several Cleveland Trust branches and later became vice president of the National Division, traveling through seven southern states.

In 1981, he founded Reggie's Spaghetti House in Aurora, which his family still operates. He also worked at Huntington Bank in Chester Township before going into commercial real estate.

Survivors include his wife Wendy (Tucker); children Kathy (Dean) Pahr, Bill (Vivian) and Jenny (Jeff) Hankins; five grandchildren; sister Jean Brooks; and niece Cassandra (Jeremy) Salyers.

He was preceded in death by his son Gregory and parents Bertie B. and Gladys Wilma Brooks.

Burial was in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township. Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home in Chester Township handled arrangements.
