Aurora -- Four people were taken to area medical facilities after a three-car accident March 5 at 5 p.m. in the 1100 block of West Garfield Road. Police charged an Aurora woman with failure to drive on the right side of the roadway after the crash. Officers said the woman veered into the westbound lane and struck a Hiram woman's vehicle head-on. The third car, driven by a Chagrin Falls man, was unable to stop and struck the Hiram woman's vehicle from behind. The Aurora woman was taken to the Solon Medical Campus, the Hiram woman was taken by helicopter to Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center and two passengers in the Hiram woman's vehicle were taken to Bedford Hospital. The police report said none of the injuries were incapacitating. No damage estimate was given. Arrested on warrants March 11 -- An Aurora man was arrested by Summit County sheriff's deputies on Route 82 west on an unspecified warrant from Aurora police. He was picked up by Aurora officers and released on a cash bond. March 12 -- A Lakewood man turned himself into local police on a warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was taken to the Portage County Jail. Miscellaneous cases March 6 -- Shoplifting. Police took a juvenile into custody at about 5:30 p.m. at Aurora Farms Premium Outlets after they were summoned by a store clerk, who said she walked out of the store with merchandise in her bag. She was released to her aunt. The items were valued at $48. March 7 -- Dagger found. After a caller reported to police that he saw a dagger laying on the ground at a stop sign at Old Mill Road and Wheatfield Drive, officers picked it up and took it to the station for safe keeping. March 10 -- Woman returns. An Aurora man reported his mother did not return to her northside home from work when he expected. The woman returned shortly thereafter and informed police that she was safe. March 11 -- Harassment. A Mantua woman reported receiving harassing phone and text messages from an Aurora woman. No charges were filed. March 11 -- Unruly youth. A Geauga Lake area woman reported her grandson was being unruly and grabbed her by the arm. The woman was not injured and no charges were filed. Traffic-related cases March 7 -- A Bedford woman was cited for failure to yield after police said she pulled out of a driveway in the 800 block of North Aurora Road and struck a Streetsboro woman's vehicle at about 3 p.m. No damage estimate was given and no injuries were reported. March 8 -- Plow hits car. Police said a city snowplow struck a parked vehicle owned by a Streetsboro in the Aurora Library parking lot on East Pioneer Trail at about 8:45 p.m. No damage estimate was given. March 9 -- Fender bender. No citations were issued after a two-car mishap at 2:45 p.m. in the 1100 block of Moneta Avenue. Police said an Aurora man was backing from a driveway when an Aurora woman's car slid on Moneta and struck the other car. No damage estimate was given. March 9 -- Pothole causes damage. A driver reported he struck a large pothole at about 9 p.m. on Aurora Lake Road, flattening his tire. No damage estimate was given. March 10 -- Car damaged. An Aurora woman reported her vehicle was damaged while parked in a Sycamore Lane apartment complex garage. No damage estimate was given. March 12 -- Failure to yield. A Hudson woman was cited for failure to yield after police said she attempted to turn from a private drive at 3:15 p.m. and was struck by an Aurora man's vehicle in the 1000 block of East Boulevard.
