JENNIFER J. MIHALAK

Hope Lutheran member

Services will be Feb. 2 at Hope Lutheran Church in Aurora for Jennifer Jean Mihalak, 33, who died Jan. 24 after 16 months of multiple illnesses resulting in spesis.

Born March 25, 1974, to Bob and Norma Mihalak of Aurora, she suffered from Smith-Lemli-Opitz Syndrome, a disorder which affects the development of children before and after birth.

Such children are unable to produce sufficient amounts of cholesterol.

She lived at home until age 27, then moved to Lincoln Group Home in Ravenna. She attended Happy Days School, graduating at age 22, then attended Portage Industries and later PEACE, a workshop for independence group homes. She was a life-long member of Hope Lutheran Church.

In addition to her parents, survivors include sister Sarah Mihalak (Dave Wilson); brother Patrick Mihalak; nephews Austin Wilson and Cody Mihalak; and best friend Tammy Heath.

Friends will be received Feb. 2 from 11 a.m. until the noon memorial service. Arrangements are being handled by Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home in Ravenna.

Memorials can be made to the Smith-Lemli-Opitz Foundation, in care of Michelle Gardner, Box 154, Walworth, N.Y. 14568 or to the Hope Lutheran Church building fund.

GRACE R. BUONPANE

85-year-old Auroran

Services took place Jan. 23 at the Church in Aurora for Grace R. (Ross) Buonpane, 85, of Aurora, who died Jan. 20 in Aurora.

Survivors include her daughters Anita Hartmann (Robert Grable) of Hudson and Elissa R. Buonpane of Cincinnati; son James G. Buonpane (Susan) of Aurora; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and siblings Ruth Liederbach and Richard Ross (Mary Bess).

She was preceded in death by her husband Guerin Buonpane.

Those who wish should make contributions in her name to an organization of their choice.

Interment was in Sunset Memorial Park. Brown-Forward Funeral Home in Shaker Heights handled arrangements.

ANTONIO DIMORA

75-year-old Aurora resident

Mass of Christian burial took place Jan. 28 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Bainbridge for Antonio Dimora, 75, of Aurora, who died Jan. 22.

Survivors include his wife Mary Elizabeth (Dennis); son James (Lori) Dimora; daughters Ann Marie (James) Miker, Theresa (Nick) Agostino and Diane (Nick) Pieronek; nine grandchildren; sisters Georgette Tudisco and Marie DeFabio; and brothers Joseph, Alfonso and Frank Dimora.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gaetana (Santalucia) and Vincenzo Dimora.

Burial was in All Saints Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Johnson-Romito Funeral in Northfield Center.

ELIZABETH M. CONLON

Mass celebrated Jan. 31

A Mass of Christian burial for Elizabeth M. (Romaniuk) Conlon, 57, of Aurora will be Jan. 31 at 10 a.m. at Our Lad of Perpetual Help Church in Aurora.

She died Jan. 28.

Survivors include her husband Paul Edward; daughters Marla E. (Donald) Simonitis, Stacey A. (William) Smith and Monica A. Hudak; son Matthew P. Conlon; four grandchildren with one due in May; mother Betty M. Conrad; mother-in-law Martha Conlon; and siblings Mary Cegelski, Mark Romaniuk and Robert, James and Kenneth Conrad.

She was preceded in death by her sister Clair and brother Richard Conrad.

Friends will be received today (Jan. 30) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Charles R. Blessing Funeral Home at Crown Hill, 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg.
