LAWRENCE WILSON

Was a Vietnam War veteran

Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Jan. 21 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church for Lawrence Wilson, 65, of Aurora, who died Jan. 17.

A former resident of Pittsburgh, he was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and had been married to his wife Marianne, who is deceased, for 40 years.

Survivors include sons Craig (Tamara) and Chuck (Cara), both of Streetsboro; daughter Katie (Andrew) Cwalinski of Aurora; four grandchildren; sister Kathleen Pogany of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Catherine Wilson, brothers Charles (Jayne) of Aurora, Colo., and Harry (Nancy) of Sharpsville, Pa.

Interment was in Aurora Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Kindrich-McHugh-Steinbauer Funeral Home in Solon.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Aurora Youth Football program.

ROBERT J. SCHARLER

Was an Aurora High swimmer

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church for Robert J. Scharler Jr., 21, of Aurora, who died Jan. 17 at Solon's St. Vincent Medical Center.

He was a 2004 Aurora High School graduate and a four-year letterman on the swim team.

Survivors include his parents Robert and Deborah (Wertz) Scharler of Aurora; sister Erin Scharler of Cleveland; grandfather Robert E. Wertz of Cleveland; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Fred and Elizabeth Scharler and Clara Wertz.

Burial was in Aurora Cemetery. Contributions can be made in his memory to the Aurora Board of Education, 102 E. Garfield Road, Aurora 44202.

Arrangements were handled by Johnson-Romito Funeral Home Northfield Village.
