Reminderville -- The village police department, along with law enforcement officers and investigators from Portage County, executed 38 felony drug warrants at 8:30 a.m. Jan. 20.

Police Chief Jeff Buck reported a total of nine arrests were made of individuals for a variety of drug trafficking violations.

Those arrested included Jeremy Barnes, 21, of Reminderville; Daniel Doyle, 19, of Reminderville; John Sabo, 18, of Reminderville; Yevgeniy Sphilman, 19, of Reminderville; Steven Neff, 19, of Aurora; Kevin Curley, 21, of Aurora; and Robert Fellenstein, 29, of Aurora. Police also arrested an unidentified adult and a juvenile.

The arrested suspects were booked and transported to the Summit County Jail. Buck said the investigation, named Operation Stomp, commenced in May 2006.

Chief Buck was unavailable for more details by press time Jan. 21, because of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

Thirteen officers and investigators from the Reminderville Police Department and Portage County took part in the joint operation. Additionally, Buck said the investigation resulted in seizure of two vehicles, and additional properties are being considered for seizure.
