Geauga Lake Park announced Friday that all its rides will be removed next year, leaving just a water park. Earlier this year, the X-Flight roller coaster, left and the Steel Venom coaster were removed.

Bainbridge - Big changes are in store for the 119-year-old Geauga Lake Park, officials of parent company Cedar Fair LP announced Sept. 21.
For the 2008 season, the park will become exclusively a water park. Officials announced many of the rides there now will be moved to other Cedar Fair parks.
"After four years of operating Geauga Lake as a combined water-amusement park, we have concluded its future should be entirely as a water park," said Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Dick Kinzel.
"Visiting Geauga Lake is a 119-year tradition in Northeast Ohio. That tradition will continue, but in a new and exciting way."
The property which will not be used for operation of the water park, is being reviewed for other uses and possible development, according to a news release issued by Cedar Fair LP.
