Domestic violence: An Aurora woman was charged with aggravated menacing and domestic violence April 27 after police said she told a male family member that if she had a gun she would kill him, his siblings and their father. She also allegedly told him her weapon of choice was a baseball bat, "but does not want to clean the mess up."
Fraud: A Brighton Drive woman reported April 27 she was notified by the Ohio Department of Taxation that someone unknown filed a tax return using her personal information, and one also was filed with the IRS. A fraud alert was issued.
An Aurora man reported April 26 he received a letter in the mail notifying him that someone unknown used his information to try to open a charge account. It was flagged and was never opened.
A West Garfield Road business reported receiving what was thought to be a counterfeit $10 bill. An officer determined it was counterfeit.
