Police Reports is a sampling of incidents responded to by the Aurora Police Department. It is not intended to be all-inclusive.
Trespassing: Four Solon male juveniles and one one Norton female juvenile were charged with criminal trespassing April 1 after being found in an area off Squires Road which was clearly marked with "no trespassing" signs. All of their parents were contacted and they were released from the scene.
Missing ring: A Lloyd Avenue woman reported April 3 a ring missing from her home. It was valued at more than $9,000. Police said nothing else was missing from the home.
Fraudulent incident: A Greentree Circle woman reported April 3 that she was the victim of fraud. She said she received a letter and a check, which she took to her bank and officials there sent it to the fraud department.
Warrant transfer: A Canton man was transferred from Akron police custody to Aurora on April 2 for a failure to appear in court warrant for a traffic violation. He was taken to the Portage County Jail.
Vehicle hits shack: Police said an Ontario, Canada man was exiting the driveway of a South Chillicothe Road plant when he struck a guard shack. The city's building department deemed the structure unsafe and the company took it down. No injuries were reported.
Rear-end crashes: An Aurora woman was cited for assured clear distance April 3 at 10:45 a.m. after police said she struck another Aurora woman's vehicle from behind at Barrington Boulevard and Route 43. No injuries were reported.
A Massachusetts woman was cited for assured clear distance March 30 at 4:35 p.m. after police she struck an Aurora woman's vehicle from behind at Routes 82 and 43. No injuries were reported.
Collision: Police said an Aurora man was backing out of a driveway on Robinhood Drive and struck the right rear corner of an Aurora man who was eastbound on Robinhood. No injuries were reported and no citation was issued.
