Snow possible on Friday; sun returns on Saturday in Portage County

A late blast of winter may keep you from yard work Friday, but not Saturday.

After a rainy Thursday, temperatures will drop overnight and snow may accumulate to a total of 1 to 3 inches by Friday night, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday's forecast is much better.

Today (April 6)
Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Temperature falling to around 42 by 5pm. Southwest wind 9 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
 
Tonight
Rain before 1am, then rain and snow. Low around 32. Breezy, with a northwest wind 13 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
 
Friday (April 7)
Snow. High near 38. Breezy, with a northwest wind 17 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
 
Saturday (April 8)
Sunny, with a high near 53. Northwest wind 6 to 8 mph.
